2nd Place Toronto Marathon 2012

On Sunday May 6, 2012, I took to the streets of Toronto, along with thousands of other runners, for the GoodLife Marathon, ½ Marathon, and 5km races. Starting at Mel Lastman’s Square, I embarked on my 15th marathon with one goal in mind… get to the finish line at Ontario Place as quickly as possible! Over my 26.2 mile journey, I couldn’t help but realize how lucky we are to live in such a unique and beautiful metropolis. There truly is no better way to take in the sights of a city than running within it. With family and friends providing endless support at numerous spots along the way, I was determined to stay both mentally and physically strong. Although I experienced many ups and downs from beginning to end, I was excited to finish as the 2nd female overall in a time of 2:49:15. Next up is an epic Ironman training camp in Kona, Hawaii, from May 17-28 to get ready for the start of the triathlon season which will cumulate in September with Ironman Wisconsin. Aloha!
